The best blog advice I can give new Virtual Assistants is to post as often as you can.

As a new Virtual Assistant, you have a lot on your plate. Blogging on a regular basis is probably not at the top of your list. But it is important to do for a number of reasons.

  • Writing posts and articles showcases your knowledge base and sets you apart from others as a thought leader in your industry.

  • Writing on a consistent schedule will get you into a routine which your clients will get used to and look forward to.

  • Adding information to your website on a regular basis helps the search engine crawlers find you faster.

Although there are other things you would rather be doing, blogging on a regular basis is a great way to get started with your business.  You will be showing prospective clients that you know what you are talking about.  As a new business owner, that is an important factor.  You need to set yourself apart from others in your industry so you are trusted and sought after as a knowledgeable administrative support specialist.

Don’t wait.  Get started.  Show the world what you know.  And do it as often as possible.
