It is a Small World

A few weeks ago I commented on Twitter that I was preparing for a vacation in Tenerife.  I received an @reply from Joe Cawley, @mytenerifeinfo.  We exchanged a few Tweets, then a few emails, and once I arrived we met.  Joe is an award winning travel writer and published author.  I am now the proud owner of a signed copy of his latest book More Ketchup Than Salsa in which he writes about opening a restaurant in a foreign country.

Our meeting happened because of Twitter.  It is a great platform to meet people with like interests.  It is a great place to build contacts and strengthen relationships.  Tweet, retweet, and @reply.    It is bringing us all a little closer together.  In the brief time that Joe and I talked we found out that we know some of the same people.  It is a small world after all.

It is now time for me to get back to my vacation.  In case you are interested, Tenerife is one of the Canary Islands.  They are owned by Spain and are located off the Northwest coast of Africa.  The sun is always shining.  The beaches are beautiful.  The people are wonderful.  And the pedestrian paths along the beach will take you from one fine restaurant to another, not to mention the great shops.   If you want more information about Tenerife, please check out Joe Cawley’s website www.mytenerifeinfo.com.

Hi Joe! Hope you are well. Both my husband and I read your book and thoroughly enjoyed it. The fact that we know the area and some of the people you wrote about made it that much more interesting.
